Influence

Quick one for Illustration Friday... in my last job I started adding white gouache to the edge of the W/C to create texture - not as much in this one but you can see it on the cardigan and pig. I think I'd like to work more opaque in future...

A friend gave me an old Sotherbys catalouge when they were auctioning some vintage illustrations... I'll need to do a post on some of the gems I discovered.

Hope all's well people...

Aww your illo is adorable! Reminded me a little of the older Winnie the Pooh style drawing, fab work.

I like the addition of the opaqueness, it adds another dimension to your work. Just lovely :)

I like the touches of gouache - they work well. Is the line drawing all pencil or did you use pen?
